you stare; you look to see who else is in-there, near, than you proceed to approve or
sneer. THE ACT HOUSE; will be a temporary home, a home away from house, make it your own home.

You’re
still in the shadows, staring at the stage, seats, walls, ceiling, curtains,
cracks, doors, lights, thermostat- that’s right, outside sounds of voice
and auto.
All
of these things play a pivotal role in how quickly you transform to character.
During
the first week of rehearsal, you’re listening to your heart-beat, soul
searching, listening to your pulse, knowing you are NOW in control of
emotion.
The
ACT-HOUSE has the same effect on everyone that enters it. A bit
delirium from anxiety waiting to transform the person audiences worldwide have
come to know. A swell in ego helps you find your person, you are excited to feel at ease, allowing you comfort.
Let’s
make a distinction the old fashion way; athletes like playing in certain cities,
stadiums, and on certain fields, more so than others.
Not to diminish their performance; the athlete
must, and do perform at an elite level.
Before
the door locks behind you, you already have a sense about who, and the
theater.
Quicker than a blink, is the human instincts
evaluation of first impression.
The actor / athlete must conform to the
theater / stadium / course, they must. Initially
the level of performance is attached to their like or dislike of the ACT HOUSE.
This
is why certain requests and/or demands are a concern.
The
FIVE ALIVE IN HEAVEN individually
chose specific places to dream; it was the place of space that delivered the
best possible exposure for creative engineering. Find and live for a brief time in a capsule of
euphoria.
Scenery
has to melt to scene, helping create character, very important with musicals where every show is live, ALIVE.
To perform in front of a full house; a sold out theater or stadium is more
important than costumes and decoration, which are meaningless most times,
better left to the discretion of the actor.
Not
much we can do with a faded floor, worn walls, and bad weather.
Touch
of advice for some of us, who may not like the look and feel of a Act-House.
Go somewhere alone, imagine yourself performing in their Act House, do this as often
as necessary, you will always return feeling their house is your house.
